A seasoned trial attorney, Kate represents criminal defendants facing charges ranging from minor misdemeanors to the most serious felony offenses including: drug trafficking, assault, domestic violence, rape, and murder.  Kate's successful trial record also includes the defense of environmental felonies in Montgomery County.  In addition to her criminal defense practice, Kate has represented clients in complex family law matters including Divorce, Dissolution, Parenting Time, Custody, Support, and Domestic Violence.  In her years of service to her clients,  Kate has consistently achieved favorable trial results for clients in Montgomery, Greene, Clark, and Miami County.   In addition to her private practice, Kate is also an Acting Judge in Kettering Municipal Court.

Kate graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, where she is currently a full professor in the Finance Department.  Kate also serves as an assistant coach to Miami University’s nationally ranked trial team. Kate received her Juris Doctor from the University of Dayton, specializing in trial litigation.   She was named Best Attorney in 2008 by the Texas Young Lawyers Association, and was named one of Dayton’s Top 40 Under 40 Young Professionals in 2014 by the Dayton Business Journal.
